Rick Ranc is a technology professional, entrepreneur, and systems engineer with more than three decades of hands-on experience in information technology. His passion for technology began in the seventh grade in 1991, when he recognized that his future would be in the IT industry. Since then, he has built a career focused on solving complex technical challenges, designing business technology solutions, and helping organizations leverage technology to improve operations, security, and productivity.

Rick earned his CompTIA A+ certification in 2000 and his CompTIA Network+ certification in 2007. He also pursued higher education in information technology but quickly realized that much of the curriculum covered areas he had already mastered through real-world experience. Rather than following a traditional academic path, he continued developing his expertise through hands-on implementation, troubleshooting, independent study, and direct client engagement.

As the Owner and President of Inner Circle Computers, Inc., Rick leads a managed services and technology consulting firm that provides comprehensive IT services to businesses, municipalities, nonprofit organizations, healthcare providers, and professional service firms throughout New York and beyond. His mission is simple: deliver reliable, secure, and practical technology solutions that help organizations operate more efficiently and confidently.

Rick’s technical expertise includes Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange Online, Hyper-V, VMware, networking, cybersecurity, backup and disaster recovery, cloud computing, DNS and domain management, virtualization, business continuity planning, and IT infrastructure modernization. Throughout his career, he has successfully led server deployments, Microsoft 365 migrations, cybersecurity initiatives, cloud transitions, network modernization projects, and complex infrastructure upgrades for organizations of all sizes.

Known for solving complex technical challenges, Rick combines deep engineering expertise with practical business insight. Unlike many technology executives who step away from day-to-day technical work, he remains actively involved in architecture, troubleshooting, infrastructure design, and project implementation. This hands-on approach enables him to develop technology strategies that are both technically sound and aligned with organizational goals.

Beyond technology implementation, Rick has extensive experience in project management, technical consulting, vendor relations, procurement, contract review, documentation, and business operations.
